LINKIN PARK. No other band like them. There is no comparison between rock and rap. Rap is just beats. Rock has depth and meaning. Linkin park is the kind of band that shows of the true power of rock, they are true musical geniuses.

Linkin Park kind of mix rock and rap in hybrid theory and meteora, but not so much in minutes to midnight. They are one of the best bands, though, and they have been my favourite for a long time now. I don’t really like rap (except in LP)… but some rap songs are really good.

I LOVE rock and both my sister and I agree Rock ROCKS rap has no message and you can’t relate to a bunch of swear words so yeah rock is loud AND proud cuz you can relate and express yourself through it and it doesn’t divide people it brings them together so yeah

Rock is a bunch of loun noise and people who have problems in there life, it has no beat, and it has no rhythm. You can’t dance to it and you can’t move to it. Yeah, it has a lot of negative words, but so does rock, it’s crazy because you damn near kill yourself with it

…dude, black guys invented rock…moron. Hendrix is officially the greatest guitarist to ever live. fuck. anyway, I prefer rock, DEFINITELY. Rock takes more patience to learn the instruments, and you rely on others to come together, so the sound is more harmonious, and disciplined, and much, MUCH deeper. I’m not talking about thos pricks from green day or simple plan. those guys are a SCAR on the face of rock. I’m talking about The Doors, Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Grateful Dead, and other gods of music. check them out some time rap fans. They really are good. Not that I think rap is untalented, I can’t play music to save my life, but I can write good lyrics easy, so I respect deep rap songs, so long as they ain’t about bitches and hoes, hahaha. But overall, I think rock is better, both cuz of the instruments, and because it’s lyrics are usually more poetic, and left to interpretation.

rock all the fucking way, rapping doesnt take talent wat so ever, all u do is literaly talk into a microphone and have a fucking computer do everything else for u, rock accually requires talent to play instruments, sing, and write meaningful lyrics, and as far as im concerned i would much rather have fun headbanging or in a mosh pit rather than doing some retarded dances

First off, I prefer Metal over the two. I’m not into the talentless shmucks like Slipknot, i’m talking full on Heavy-To-Death Metal.
Anyway, Rap has some great songs, with great depth and meaning, that can reveal what you really feel, and so does rock. but these are only from the bands that have proven Bar None in their genres.
Tupac and Eminem to me are at the top of the food chain in rap, while bands like Pink Floyd and U2 hold that in Rock. both genres have their greats, and both have their lows. (50 Cent, Fall Out Boy, we are looking at you!)
it is all a matter of taste. and why stay closed minded and deny yourself some of the greatest artists out there all because they play under a different instrumental lineup?
please, open your ears and listen.

In my honest opinion: Rock. With Emphesis on the Subgenre of Metal.
Rap has it’s Greats: Tupac, Eminem, Easy E, NWA, etc. But, Rock (With Metal in Particular) is just so much deeper. Bands like Orphaned Land use their Music to try to promote Peace and Love between Christians, Jews, and Muslims in the Holy land. they Speak of Commonalities between all three of the greats and again, try to instill a sense of Brotherhood. Communic, a band from Norway, sings of Humanity’s Problems and Inner Emotions, conveying a message that we are all here on this slab of Rock called Earth. Please Get Along.
Rap may be good, but Rock just has the better Compositions, the Deeper Lyrics, More techinical Beats and Basslines. GUITARS! Again, Rock >>>> Rap.

i gotta say rock, really rap does have it’s moments, my respects to tupac, but here’s the thing, rap, u don’t really have to know how to play instruments, it takes atleast 2 years to be able to play in a band, you have to learn an istrument:guitar, even i can write down my thoughts in a paper and start rapping bout it, rock has always been on top just ask led zeppelin, over 300,000 million copies sold, and the top rap artist has sold at most 37,000 million copies, you can’t really compare that not even close to led zeppelin, and many rap artist come up with 1 single and then you won’t hear of them for like a year, so in my opinion its rock that rules, rap will eventually die out
